The Loophole is a sci-fi retelling of The American Civil War. Polly Danfield, a biracial scientist living in rural Georgia and her interracial family are hiding from the war. But despite their various attempts at not get involved, a strange phenomenon and the mysterious Alligator Queen keep bringing the war to them. When her fiance Acker finds himself a part of the all Black 33rd Regiment of the Union Army, they all must determine which version of themselves they want to be and how to set themselves free.
